Capacitance: The capacity of a capacitor to store electric charge is known as its capacitance. The capacitance of a capacitor is defined as the ratio of the charge Q stored on its either plates to the potential difference V between the plates. The capacitance is expressed as, C = Q/V The unit of capacitance is farad.
