State the functions of fuel system and exhaust system of a diesel power station.

Fuel system: It supplies fuel to engine for combustion purpose. It consists of Fuel Pump: - It supplies fuel to engine for combustion purpose. Strainer: - Are provided to remove suspended impurities and to supply clean fuel to engine. Fuel Injector: - It injects fuel in engine cylinder at the end of compression stroke. Heaters: - Are provided to heat the coil especially during winter season


Exhaust system: This system is provided to discharge the engine exhaust (smoke) to the atmosphere outside the building. It consists of ; Silencer: - It is provided to reduce noise. Muffler: - It is provided to exhaust pipe to reduce pressure in exhaust line and eliminate most of the noise. Chimney:- To exhaust gases in the atmosphere as high as possible.
