NTC Thermistor
PTC Thermistor
NTC Thermistor means Negative temperature Coefficient
 PTC Thermistor means Positive temperature Coefficient
NTC means resistance of thermistor Decreases as temperature rises.
PTC means resistance of thermistor increases as temperature rises.
NTC thermistors are made from a pressed disc, rod, plate, bead or cast chip of semiconducting material such as sintered metal oxides.
PTC thermistors are made from doped polycrystalline ceramic (containing barium titanate (BaTiO3)
NTC Thermistors characteristics are nonlinear in nature.
PTC Thermistor are comparatively linear in nature.
